About us
The Human Resources Association of Southern Maine (HRASM) is an organization of human resource professionals from both small and large organizations with specialist and generalist backgrounds. HRASM is a chapter of the national Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the world’s largest HR professional society, representing 285,000 members in more than 165 countries. For nearly seven decades, the Society has been the leading provider of resources serving the needs of HR professionals and advancing the practice of human resource management. SHRM has more than 575 affiliated chapters within the United States and subsidiary offices in China, India and United Arab Emirates.
Purpose
The purpose of HRASM is to constantly improve the professional level of human resource management. HRASM provides professional networking opportunities and presentations to members and guests on various human resource related topics, which in turn, encourage professional growth and development.

Structure
The HRASM is governed by a Board of Directors who are voted into office each year. The Board consists of a President, President-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer, and Immediate Past-President.
