Human Resources Assistant
Verrill is actively reviewing resumes for a Human Resources Assistant in our Portland, Maine Office. This would be a full time position in our Portland, Maine office, although we have been working remotely, we anticipate that this position will be in the office. The candidate will be responsible for providing support to the Human Resources Department (currently four team members), supporting staff and attorneys by assisting with recruiting efforts, event planning, benefit support, file management, data reporting and special projects. With a proven strong desire to learn, an entry level candidate may be considered. A candidate with some experience may also be considered as we are able to provide ever evolving professional challenges.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills, excellent computer skills (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), superior communication skills (written and verbal) and attention to detail. Some previous experience with full cycle recruiting would be desirable. Applicants should have strong administrative skills, some office experience and must have the ability to prioritize tasks successfully to meet fast paced department deadlines. The successful candidate will have an understanding of the role of Human Resources within a full-service law firm environment.
