The Opportunity Alliance is seeking a Senior Director of Human Resources, to be based in their South Portland, Maine office. This role is for an experienced HR leader who enjoys both the hands-on, daily operations and the strategic impacts of Human Resources.

Requirements of the Senior HR Director:
At least 3-5 years of experience in a lead technical or management HR position, with at least 3 years of experience in direct supervision of staff, required
Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Certification, preferred
Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field, required
Experience in the board spectrum of HR subdisciplines (recruitment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, policy development and administration, HRIS, compliance, training); Workday experience is a huge plus!
Full vaccination against COVID-19, as required by federal and state vaccination mandates

Benefits of the Job:
Annual pay in the range of $80k – $90k

Responsibilities of the Senior HR Director:
Strategic Planning: Collaborates with COO and Senior Leaders to conduct strategic planning that contributes to the achievement of positive client outcomes
Policies & Expertise: Develops policies and provides expertise on HR related topics and recommends courses of action
Compliance: Ensures agency compliance with HR and training in accordance with policies, COA standards, and licensing as well as regulations and legal requirements
Employee Relations: Develops and oversees compliant and effective employee relations and performance management systems
Talent Management: Oversees the hiring, orientation, onboarding, and retention of Agency employees; manages job classifications and descriptions
Total Rewards: Administers the compensation, benefits, and incentive programs
Leadership: Manages and participates in the day-to-day operations of the HR team
