The Human Resources Association of Southern Maine (HRASM) places a high priority on protecting our members’ privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for the HRASM’s website.
It is HRASM’s intention to give you as much control as possible over your personal information. In general, you can visit the HRASM’s web site without telling us who you are or revealing any information about yourself. However, there are places on our web site when we may need information from you, such as your name, email address, city/state, and zip code.
HRASM will not distribute or sell any of your personal information to third parties. Email addresses may be provided on a limited basis to our affiliated partner organizations. Such organizations include the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM); the Maine SHRM State Council (MESHRM) and Strategic HR US, producers of the annual Maine HR Convention.
As part of the benefit of your membership, we do include your name in the Member directory for networking opportunities. Other HRASM members have access to this information but may not use it for solicitation or marketing purposes. We would release personal information when we believe it to be appropriate to comply with law; or protect the rights, property, or safety of HRASM members, or others.
HRASM’s web site’s voluntary registration forms (only found in certain areas of our site) require users to give us contact information. We use the contact information from registration forms to send information about HRASM and its activities and to insure that our programming is used for legitimate purposes. The contact information is also used to contact the visitor when necessary. Visitors may opt-out of receiving future communications (see below).
The HRASM web site contains links to other web sites. HRASM is not responsible for the security practices of the web sites that are linked from our site. We highly recommend that visitors check the privacy statements at these linked sites.
